St. Catharines’ iconic Mountainview United Church is no more, but what is going there instead? Ambria Homes purchased the land on Dec. 29, 2020, and a virtual open house was held last April.
Demolition on the site started just over a month ago, and the church is now completely levelled. When the church was originally built in 1962, it had more than 700 people in its congregation.Mountainview United Church was known locally for turkey vultures that would rest on its roof.
On their website, the developer said they plan to call this area “Glenridge Heights,” and it will be a “luxury townhome community.”
